  • Hiro's sword is catalogued as CRM-114. This is the name of the bomber's radio discriminator in Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove," which also deals (comically) with the attempts to prevent a nuclear catastrophe.
  • Kubrick used CRM in many films even spelling it out. In A Clockwork Orange the main character, Alex de Large, was injected with Serum-114. Alex de Large was - Malcolm McDowell - aka Linderman.
