Synopsis |
| We are introduced to some new characters, twins Maya and Alejandro, who are on the run for homicide in Honduras. The two are trying to reach New York to find Mohinder's father (whose book they have) for answers to their powers, not knowing that he is dead. Hiro finds himself in ancient Japan, face to face with his idol, Takezo Kensei, but is disapointed to discover that Kensei is not the samuari of his father's stories and that Hiro's arrival may have changed history. Claire begins a new year at a new school in California, where she must avoid attention. She finds difficulty in this when a fellow classmate, with his own secret, takes an interest in her. Nathan has become a drunk, bottling his emotions of guilt inside, getting divorced and still hoping that Peter is somehow alive; his mother insists that Peter is dead and that Nathan move on with his life and he throws her out. Parkman, also getting divorced, makes detective with the NYPD, and has become the foster father for human tracker orphan Molly. She is haunted by the "boogeyman" in her dreams, and it shows in her drawings at school. Mohinder, in efforts to increase awareness of a virus killing extraordinary people, is confronted with an offer of research funding from an unknown man who knew his father and his sister and whose touch can turn items to gold. Meanwhile, Hiro's father and Mama Petrelli are targeted by unknown assassins. Mr. Nakamura knows death is inevitable, and he is killed by a hooded figure who leaps with him off the rooftop of the Deveaux building. The show closes with news of a hidden alliance between Noah Bennett (HRG) and Mohinder, the discovery that Claire's schoolmate can fly, Maya and Alejandro driving a truck of corpses through the night, and Peter being discovered in a freight container in Cork, Ireland by a gang of thieves, with no recollection of what had occurred. |

Why are the old-timers of the Company like Angela, Nakamura, Bob, and even Noah, so secretive about what had been going on before and what is still going on ?
