Resolution: How it should be resolved:Already resolved. If Peter had not saved Claire from Sylar then Sylar himself would have been invincible and impervious to physical attack. In addition- the destruction of New York may have been the beginning of a chain reaction that would destroy the world. Nathan may not have averted anything all...************************************************************************************** Easy. Hiro gave Peter the message because he (falsely) believed that Sylar was the person who would explode, thus destroying NYC, which would off a chain reaction in which, ultimately, everyone who was "different" would be ostracized, and terminated, and destroy the world as we knew it. So he believed that by saving Claire, Sylar wouldn't have her powers, and thus could be killed before he exploded. But because we know that it was actually PETER who exploded, then Sylar was irrelevant to the world's destruction. But ironically, saving the cheerleader really DID save the world. How? If Claire had died, Nathan never would have met her. And it was CLAIRE who ultimately "got" to Nathan - she got him to find hope, which led to his sacrifice, which saved the destruction of NYC, and prevented all future events that would lead to the destruction of the world.
Resolution: How it should be resolved: In the storyline, I would let it be known that Matt's wife knows that he's gone for a while, but coming back. I think it's more likely that his wife left HIM, not the other way around. After his erratic behavior, frequent disappearances and multiple gunshot wounds, what wife wouldn't be fed up?
Unfinished business: Why did Hiro have to go back to the present-time right after he blew up White Beard's arsenal ? He could have stayed and married Yaeko first, except for the fact that the legend says he had to cut out his heart. Resolution: How it should be resolved: I guess Hiro had to obey the legend, but this raises the other problem of who started the time loop that Hiro has to follow ?
