English in India?

Why is it that when the show is set in central america (with Maya and Alejandro) it is in Spanish; or in Japan (with Hiro and Ando) it is Japanese; but when it is in India (with Mohinder) it is in English!!!Just a small poitn thats been poking at me..... 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

English is used widely in India, especially in larger cities. This dates back to the days of English imperial control over the country. This is also why educated Indians, like Mohinder, often have an accent that American might describe as British.
