The first few minutes when we see Sylar and his mom, and he couldnt imagine himself killing millions of innocent people, I thought for sure this is the new twist in heroes. But then we see him at the end of the episode drawing the explosion of New York with his mom's blood.. creeepy!!!

"Who thinks Sylar is a sympathetic character?"Syler is pure evil. He enjoys torturing and killing and stealing the power of his victims. It's been a long time since I've hated a character on a TV show (or movie for that matter) so badly that I couldn't wait to see him killed off. He's beyond redemption and must be eliminated at all costs. Do you find this valuable? |

I do believe that he is a sympathetic character, especially when it comes down to family. (If he knows they're family) It's not really his fault either. Well it's his fault, but it comes with his power. Understanding how things work, having that knowlage makes him want more. That drives him to kill and do things he usually wouldn't do. I do believe he can fight it though, I just don't think he thinks he can yet.
